PRACTICAL INFO
Price: Food, accommodation, studio space + materials, lectures, dinner parties, and in-program travel are included in the program fee. If you feel called to participate in this residency but are concerned about funding, we encourage you to still apply.
Accommodation: This Collab will be hosted at the Wasserschloss (“Water Castle”), located at the edge of a forest with access to many walking trails and a large garden. The housing is communal-living.
Food: Meals are included 2x / day. You will be responsible for covering breakfast and any other meals before or after these dates.
All prepared meals with have the supplementary option of gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegetarian. The kitchen is unable to accommodate any other dietary restrictions, outside serious allergies.
Studio: The studio is in the attic is accessible for you to create throughout the day. A wide variety of materials / equipment will be provided, but if you are looking to bring something special (an expensive watercolor set, 1950s vintage typewriter, your auntie’s glockenspiel) make room in your luggage to bring these items along.
Travel: Because Herrnhut is remotely located, you will be responsible for travel by bus or train to the closest city. From there, we can pick you up and take you to the Castle! You will be responsible for all arrangements up to the nearest station.

When will I receive all the practical details for this Collab? (travel, payment process, packing list, etc)
Once accepted or once your registration has been confirmed, a ONE program coordinator will send you a welcome email / welcome packet with all the necessary info.
Can I come with my friend?
You can absolutely recommend a friend, but your friend must apply or register and be accepted by a ONE program coordinator in order to attend.
If I'm a spoken word poet, may I attend?
Of course. We accept all mediums! If you are a dancer, a visual artist, a professional clown, a photographer, or a street artist.
How much is the Collab?
Each program varies as our Collabs range in length, season, and capacity!
Is there an opportunity for scholarship / funding?
Yes! We offer a few partial scholarships for each Collab for artists with unique financial situations. While every artist accepted to the Collab has the opportunity to apply, only a few partial scholarships are gifted.
